The Three Body Types: Ectomorph or Banana
The Banana -or the ectomorph-is characterized by higher body fat and often has a difficult time building muscle mass. This body type generally has long limbs, long feet and fingers, and does not gain weight very easily. The ectomorph is usually considered "skinny" and oftentimes too thin. We see many of the running long distance races, which, unfortunately, only enhances their innate body type.
I recommend resistance training programs for the ectomorph to build more muscle mass and create strong bones, since this body type is also more prone to osteoporosis. The ectomorph should cut down on their cardio to build muscle and may create more curves by swimming and using the water as resistance.
